Before & After

One thing that I've been working on post-wedding is to get some things more organized. I know it's hard to imagine that I could be any more organized than I already am... but it's just some small things that have always driven me crazy, things that take up too much space and if properly contained could take up less.

The first thing that I did was to put a lot of our extra linens and pillows into those vacuum space bags. Kyle's Mom, Sandi, turned me on to these and they are just great! I know keep an extra supply of empty ones around the house in case a need for them pops up. Not only does the item decrease in size, but it becomes easier to store and it's protected from dust. The next thing that I tackled was my card drawer. In the guest bedroom we have a tall dresser with 5 big drawers. During the wedding this became a place to store misc. wedding stuff. Now that the wedding stuff is all cleared out there still are 2 drawers of non-wedding stuff - all of my cards and stationary (yes, I do have that much... I just love having cards and stationary around) in one and CDs in another. Well the CDs are still there, but the cards are taken care of!
